You are the communications coordinator for a national drug manufacturer. Recently, there have been reports of significant negative effects caused by one of your medications that are used by a significant population. News reports have alleged that one of the individuals affected is a well-known public figure. You are tasked with addressing the news reports and the general public regarding this situation. Advantages of using the social media aspect can attract the attention needed to promote a product or service intended or drive traffic to the intended website of services. This type of channel has the ability to bring people together from all over the world as well as allows each person to express their own opinions and ideas, providing well-needed feedback. Disadvantages of this method when not used properly or failed to promote the communication effectively can cause a permanent damage to the company’s reputation; as this mistake is seen in front of hundreds or thousands of people who also have direct and easy access of spreading their messages online. This way of communicating can also be more time consuming as someone has to be constantly checking in to make comments, answer questions, and reply to feedback.
Regulatory Effects
While healthcare organizations are responsible to adhere to regulations on a federal level such as with (HHS) Department of Health and Human Services and (HIPPA) Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act; they are bound by state, local, and some private accrediting organization regulations as well. Any method of communication taken in regards to internal employee and patient awareness as well as external partners, patient families, and the general public must obtain and maintain compliance with regulations set forth by all
Communication is all around us. It’s the way we interact with each other in everyday living. Our senses have a lot to do with the way we receive communication, and even if a sense is impaired there are still ways to get the idea across to people.
Communication is a term used by professionals in the Health and Social Care system, but is also used on a daily basis by everyone all around the world in many different ways.

Janes communication strengths and needs both directly and indirectly impact her and her family. I will discuss these potential impacts by utilising the health and social care PIES model. Firstly, I will discuss the physical influences which occurred because of Jane’s TBI. Initially, the oro-motor assessment indicates that Jane’s face is symmetrical and that she can accurately copy non-speech sounds. This is advantageous as she can swallow and eat her food successfully by manipulating her tongue and moving the bolus to her oesophagus. Being able to swallow will give Jane independence and will ensure her family does not have to feed her.

As the communication coordinator for this national drug manufacturer, we will need to address the issue at hand and figure out the best way to handle the negative publicity one of our medications has caused. Unfortunately, the local news is already making things more difficult for us by alleging that a well-known public figure is among those suffering adverse effects from this medication. We will need to decide how to properly address the public that will ensure no loss in business or investors. In this meeting, we will need to determine the best communication tactic to get this situation under control.
How we communicate effects everything we do. Whether talking to patients and family members, speaking in a team meeting, or talking with our children’s teacher at a conference, communication is how we learn information, teach information and express our concerns. Communication plays a vital role in the healthcare setting, as the relationship with the healthcare professional sets the tone of the care experience and has a powerful impact on patient satisfaction. It is “the shared process in which messages are sent and received between two or more people which are made up of a sender, receiver, and message in a particular context” (cite, date). This essay highlights the importance of, and some common barriers to, effective communication in the healthcare setting. It involves many interpersonal skills such as effective observation, questioning and listening, giving feedback, recognizing and removing barriers.
In this report I’m going to explain the role of effective communication and interpersonal interaction in a health and social care context. Effective communication is a conversation in which no one gets confused by the other person. This is vital in health and social care because it allows the health worker to perform their role effectively. Communication is important within health and social care for many reasons.

This is an analysis of a taped interview between a nurse and a patient who is taking pre-employment medicals. The information given during the interview, including her name, Pink Cloud is fictitious because of the need of confidentiality. During the interview, objective and subjective data will be collected. The areas of communication focused on in the analysis are verbal, questioning and listening skills. Analysis will be made and later suggestions and recommendations will be made on how to make improvements in the future. To achieve this, direct quotations from the will be used to make references to the three theories being analysed and will be supported by the literature.
Social media is not new. Facebook has been around since 2004, YouTube since 2005, and Twitter in 2006. Communication, in healthcare, is a multidimensional concept that involves patients, family members, and a health care team. There is a direct correlation with communication, improving a patient's well being, and quality of care. Adequate communication among physicians and their patients is an actively growing research topic. Results supplied by such studies have provided effective recommendations for oncologists and their team. These recommendations include the patient-physician relationship, how physicians utilize medical information, how physicians deal with patient emotions, physician self-management, and educational conferences designed to sharpen communication.
